ASSET Athletics works with elite athletes currently playing professional or university sports or High School and Junior High athletes who aspire to play university or professional sports.
In order to develop a custom plan that will target the athlete’s individual needs, strengths and weaknesses, we need to understand each client’s uniqueness. Not just how an athlete moves, but also how they perceive movement. The athlete’s background and perception of his or her surroundings. Lastly, their lifestyle, health and nutrition. People are unique and that uniqueness must be harnessed, understood and worked with. Through our pillars of Movement Strategies, Forces, Neural Plasticity, Nutrition, Lifestyle and Mental toughness, we are able to determine the building blocks that make an athlete’s presentation and develop a framework to achieve the complete athlete.
- Movement Strategies
- Forces
- Neural Plasticity
- Nutrition
- Lifestyle
- Mental Toughness
Our program is centred around analyzing an athlete’s KKNP (Kinetics, Kinematics and Neural Plasticity) in a variety of movements to look for the following:
- Instability
- Inflexibility
- Compensation
- Potential injury mechanisms
- Sub-optimal Performance mechanisms
- Recovery times
- Physiological Weaknesses
- Skill acquisition weaknesses – Breaking bad habits and forming new ones
Once we know your strenghts and weaknesses, we can formulate a plan to help you maximize your potential and achieve your goals.
Session 1:Â Suitability Assessment (1 hour)
Not everyone is right for our program. Our initial meeting is structured to determine whether we’re a “Good Fit” as Coach/Student. As you’ll quickly learn, our role is not that of the traditional “trainer” but more of an educator who can provide you with the knowledge and technique to advance your physical develoment giving you the advantage you need to succeed.
We’ll review both your long and short term goals and expectations pf working with our team. At the end of this meeting, if we determine that we can work together, we will plan and schedule your physical assessment.
History/Background assessment: (10 minutes)
- Current and past training
- Current and past injuries
- Available equipment and facility for unspervised training
Sport Weaknesses/Strengths: (10 minutes)
- Assess movement in your sport and outline your weaknesses and strengths
- Review and videos if possible
- Discuss any assessments from coaches/trainers
Kinetics Evaluation: (15 minutes)
- Force/Power productions
Kinematic Evaluation: (15 minutes)
- Movement sequencing and coordination patterns
Neural Assessment: (5 minutes)
- Pattern recognition and tracking
Q/A: (5min)
At the conclusion of this session, we will develop your physical sport/activity specific assessment plan to ascertain the following:
- Agility
- Strength
- Stability
- Endurance
- Technique

Step 2:Â ASSET Evaluation – (1 hour)
Warm Up: (10 minutes) Go through proper warm up procedures and expectations.
All ASSET evaluation excercises are based on the specific sport requirments of the individual athlete.
- Agility – 5 minutes
- Strength – 10 minutes
- Stability – 5 minutes
- Endurance – 15 minutes
- Technique – 10 minutes
There is no prototypical athlete. In the NBA, the two most recent MVP’s couldn’t be more different:Â
Giannis Antentokounpo – amongst world class athletes when measuring his speed, strength, endurance, agility and techniqueÂ

Nikola Jokic – No comparison when compared to Giannis or even the average NBA athlete yet he is wildly successful because of his technique and neural plasticity.

Step 3: Program Recommendations (1 Hour)
Review the evaluation and discuss findings (20 minutes)
Program recomendations: (30 minutes) This is where we discuss the right program for you including:
- Frequency
- Intensity
- In season/off season training and key dates throughout the year
- Priorities
App Set up: (10 minutes)
This is where we set up your profile via the app and show you how to use it. This is where you will track your training, workouts, diet, sleep habits, and energy levels.
